The app Stedentrip Reisplanner helps travelling European tourists to plan an entire city trip from start to finish. The goal of this project was to design an application that would help the user before and during their travels, across multiple devices, locations and situations through consistent design.
It’s incredibly fun to plan out a city trip, but when you’re actually visiting a city, you often end up having a laundry list of things you want to do and way too little time. After all, you might only have a day or two in one city, and it’s easy to underestimate the travel time between the different tourist attractions. Using this app, travellers can plan out every step of the journey, while maximising their time in each city thanks to a smart route planning system.
The app changes at each stage of the customer journey. Before you travel, the app is designed around planning the cities and attractions you want to visit. You can easily look up fun locations and activities and plan out the entire trip on desktop and mobile.
Once the trip has begun, the app changes. The home page now shows the planning for that day, make it easy to check it whenever you want. This is also the time when you can plan out a route between each location. With this route, you can add multiple destinations in your list and create an ultimate route with the least travelling time. That way you can spend more time doing fun activities and less time travelling.

The end result is an app that’s perfect for planning a city trip, no matter where you want to visit and for how long. Thanks to a seamless transition between devices, users can change and add on their planning whenever they want. And with the various features, travellers can enjoy their city trip to the fullest, without any stress or worry.
